Gov. McMaster signs Working Agricultural Lands Preservation Act

CLT's staff and board members were pleased to join leaders of the land trust community, members of the SC General Assembly, and other state and local leaders at Cottle Farms in support of Governor McMaster's ceremonial bill signing of H.3951, the Working Agricultural Lands Preservation Act. The legislation creates the Working Farm Protection Fund, which will help landowners preserve working agricultural lands through voluntary conservation easements. The Fund will be administered by the South Carolina Conservation Bank.
