The Congaree Land Trust (CLT) protects central South Carolina's treasured natural and scenic lands, farms, waterways, forests, and open spaces, primarily through conservation easements. Our focus is on supporting economic vitality, promoting healthy lifestyles, safeguarding drinking water and protecting our quality of life. Since 1992, CLT has worked with landowners to conserve over 78,000 acres across 14 counties in central South Carolina. Yet conservation is about more than acres, it is about protecting our way of life tied to this land.
